Horseradish contains greater amounts of vitamin C than lemons, and also includes a number of important B vitamins such as B1, B2 and B6. A variety of minerals are also present including magnesium, potassium and iron. Medicinally, horseradish helps with digestion and increases blood circulation, as well as being thought to assist in reducing blood pressure. It should be noted however, that this herb is very pungent and only small amounts should be consumed to avoid irritation to the lining of the stomach, kidneys or bowels.
